About Human Growth Factor

A human capacity operating system for people who want to align their biology with their mission.

Most people who come to me are already trying. They train, they watch what they eat, they have read the articles. What they have never had is somebody telling them whether any of it is working, and what to do about it when it stops.

That is the gap. Not effort, and not information. Effort aimed at the wrong thing is just a slower way to end up where you started, and nobody can tell which thing is the wrong one from the inside.

So the work starts the same way every time: find the one thing holding the rest down, fix that first, and check whether it held before adding anything else. One change at a time, each one proven before the next.

The people I train are adults over 40, in their homes across Sarasota and Manatee, in small groups at Patriot Fitness, one on one, and online. Most of them have other people depending on them. Several came back to training after an injury or a long gap, and several train around something their doctor is already managing, which is why I coordinate with doctors and physical therapists when a client wants me to.

HGF is the system underneath all of that. It maps where capacity is built and lost across nine domains, finds what is suppressing yours, and removes it in order. Not a template, and not a generic program. A system calibrated to your body, your patterns and what you are actually trying to do.

The nine domains

Capacity is built and lost across nine domains, never inside one. The real bottlenecks sit between them, which is exactly why single-domain specialists never find them.

Training: how you move and load the body, and whether the stress you take on is the kind it can adapt to.
Nutrition: what you feed the system, and whether it reaches the work or gets lost on the way.
Sleep: the overnight rebuild. Short or shallow, and everything downstream runs on credit.
Timing: when things happen against your own biology. The same input helps or hurts depending on the hour.
Environment: your surroundings and the people you're near. Who you're around changes what you can carry.
Cognitive: attention and executive function. Whether the mind is actually here for the work in front of it.
Emotional: how steady you stay inside real load. Regulation under pressure, not the absence of it.
Genetics: the costs and tendencies you were dealt. A lead to confirm and work with, never a verdict.
Mission: what your capacity is aimed at, and whether the aim is holding. Meaning, conviction, and the sense that what you're carrying is worth carrying. Capacity built with no one to serve goes nowhere, and capacity aimed at something you don't believe in drains faster than it builds.

How it works

  1. Assess: We map the full picture: biology, structure, environment, recovery, and timing, including DNA when available.
  2. Map: We find the one bottleneck most likely suppressing your capacity, and sequence the fix before recommending anything.
  3. Architect: We build the structure: training, nutrition, supplementation, timing, and recovery, all sequenced around your highest-leverage bottleneck. Your system, your biology, your mission.
  4. Execute: You run the protocol. Training, nutrition, timing, and recovery, in the sequence the blueprint set, with a coach holding the line.
  5. Rescan: Nothing here is static. As your life changes, we reassess, the bottleneck shifts, the structure adapts, and each cycle starts from a higher foundation. This is where capacity compounds.

The founder

Rob Amoroso coaching a client through a set of pull-ups at Patriot Fitness, Sarasota

HGF was built by Rob Amoroso, driven by one question: why do some people do everything right and still fall short of their capacity? That question led across fitness, nutrition, genetics, neuroscience, movement, and faith. HGF is the system that came out of it.
